Vacature detailsAnalog Circuit Design Engineer BedrijfsbeschrijvingVacature beschrijvingYou will be involved in the research & development of ultra low power electronics and autonomous microsystems. You will contribute to the development of biomedical and ambient-intelligence autonomous sensor systems that will be evaluated by academic hospitals and other R&D partners. In the future the design of these systems will become more complex since we need to find novel system architectures for new technologies. You will play an important role in the development of a design methodology. This will include the following tasks:
- create designs for integrated sensor systems;
- realize analog systems from the design track till the realization on board-level and including testing (and if necessary defining the qualification of the hardware);
- characterization, modeling and optimization of analog circuits and building blocks in existing CMOS technologies;
- contribute to the definition of a methodology for ‘complex system design’.
Profiel
- you have a Master’s or Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering;
- proven knowledge and experience in analog design is required;
- knowledge and experience in the design, simulation, layout and fabrication of CMOS analog building blocks such as Op-amps, OTAs, mixers, and filters among others is a must.
- experience in the use of design tools such as Cadence/Mentor is a prerequisite (Schematic capture, Virtuoso Layout and Calibre parasitic extractor).
- clear understanding of CMOS technology nodes (0.18mm or higher) is required.
- the IMEC environment requires a good team player with competent communication and reporting skills.
- given the international character, a good knowledge of English is mandatory.
